What has to be true before this is a service
Four things, and none of them is a marketing decision. We will say so here as each one lands, and until all four have, this page stays as it is.
- A property, held on a lease we can stand behind, meeting the same condition and safety standard as everything else we take on.
- A support arrangement that is funded and staffed, agreed with whoever commissions it — not an intention to recruit.
- Safeguards this cohort specifically requires, including address confidentiality for anyone moving on from a refuge, and a referral route that does not put someone at risk to use it.
- A date we have committed to, published once we are certain of it rather than estimated and then moved.

If someone is homeless tonight or at risk of being so within eight weeks, the local council’s housing options team owes them a duty under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996, and that is a faster call than any provider.
